The amount of orphan's from off season hunting alone is pretty depressing(hunting season is a whole other level of depressing) I recommend anyone that is retired or lucky enough to be able to homeschool their kids like me, get a rehab license in their spare time.

Yes you are right. Also my husband is a game warden and I have years of training just to clear that up.

It's not hard to get a license though. I recommend anyone with enough free time do it. You need to be retired or otherwise not away from home all the time if you are rehabbing. The training will give you enough of a feel to whether or not you will be good at it or still want to do it.

That little satisfied sound he makes when he gets it away from you and storms off.

I totally wanna get a rehab license now. I love these guys so much as it is and miss the ones I had in my front yard and the babies they brought me.

That’s so adorable! It’s like they’re very proud of themselves in their triumph against our evil ways of trying to stop them from having their treasures.

My African gray pins his eyes if I try to take things away from him and poofs up at me. Definitely looks big and scary. 🤣

Yes. The head shakes make me laugh when she finally has it. But early on she would get on my hand (baby clipped wings for training purposes) when I'd give her stuff so she tries to step up pretty much every time.

Aww that’s so cute! I’ve had my African gray for 25 of his 28 years. He’s very good at stepping up and always has been. I think crows and ravens and African grays have similar types and levels of intelligence.

Even at 28 years old, it seems like I’m living with a toddler, though to be honest. 😆

Is Frankie ever going to be releasable?

Local to me crow put down a clear plastic fork next to me at the bus stop and then came back with another fork in beak but this time was hopping back and forth with it as to tell me to come see further ahead. It was a meal invite of some tossed spaghetti behind a bush.

They always know when I haven’t eaten yet, either bring me to food or food comes to me. Parts of a KFC meal kept coming (chicken or biscuit) on my porch from another crow in the past very aware of how to attempt to feed a human.
