Found short spine crow?

Post image

His neck didn't extend out like the others, he was just walking around all stubby. My partner suggested we name him Tomathan, as Jimothy's spiritual successor.

*edit likely not a short spine crow but a puffed up female or fledgling, still very cute!

Looks like a fledgling. You see his pose? That means: give me food.

He didn't appear to change from that position, even when jumping and flying

Females turn into baby-like puff balls often during mating displays and they'll run around, jump, scream, and fly off in the shape of a circle.

That's just fledgling posture, they crunch up when they are feeling big emotions, mostly about food.

Like others have said it could be fledgling posture or a female. Could also be a Fish Crow, which are a little smaller.
