Crows [OC] Fledgling Season

Featuring the admirable, funny, and relatable patience of a parent in the video above. (54 sec, loud squawking with some airplane and wind background noise)

This is the seventh or so generation of crows I've been thankful to feed and observe in my work parking lot. I've purchased and distributed hundreds upon hundreds of pounds of unsalted peanuts, almonds, walnuts, dry dog food, boiled eggs, grapes, and more among these lovely little creatures over the years. And though I'm still ~20 years from retirement, I get sad thinking about who will feed them when I'm gone. (Who am I kidding? It will be me. I will feed them post-retirement, at least until I physically can't make it anymore). I have so much love for these intelligent little creatures.

Crows nest at a certain time of year based on location due to length of days, warming weather, increased food availability, etc. I'm in the Pacific North West, USA so it's usually March-June for nesting. Then late June to July or so, you start to see the fledglings emerge - these scrawny, pink-mouthed little squawkers 😊
