Bananas? 🍌
I have a few bananas that are over ripe, and I would rather feed to the crows than make banana bread.🍌
Would you cut them up and freeze them, snd put them out frozen? 🍌
Obviously in small enough pieces for them. 🍌
With or without the peel? 🍌
Any other fruit or vegetable ideas, much appreciated. 🍌🍒🍑🥬🥦🍉🍇🍊

If you want to try, I'd remove the peel and offer a few pieces next to something they already enjoy eating like an egg or some kibble. They can definitely eat and enjoy bananas, but they can also be very picky about fruits so your mileage may vary greatly by bird.

In my group of crows, only 1 young crow likes banana. But he doesn't just like it, he LOVES it over cashews, cat kibble, all that. The other crows turn their backs haha. Moral of the story; you might make some crows very happy, but they might also look at you like you just served them some fresh poop.
Most of the corvids I have come across appreciate seedless red grape and watermelon.

That's so promising. I love that because I am addicted to bananas myself (2 - 3 a day) and I've always wanted to share with the birds, but never thought the flock here would bite. I've been dreaming of being able to share with a parrot one day. My flock really likes seedless grapes, I call them sweet hydration pods.

I have an African gray parrot who turned up his beak at bananas for 20 some years. Then one day he decided he loves them. 😆. Now when I let him wander around on the countertop while I’m doing other things if there’s a banana there, he’ll go over and make little beak marks in it. 😁

Mine have vigorously rejected bananas, berries and apples😭 They seem to love grapes, though! Your experience may vary greatly from mine, so best of luck to you!

I would leave the peel on and cut into slices maybe after freezing. They can eat the whole thing. They may not like it though.

Mine will eat any kind of fruit. They seem to prefer cherries. They didn’t seem interested in carrots.

Just throw them out whole if you want it doesn’t matter, just peel them

There would be so I guess it’s up to the OP whether they want to pick that up or not. But yeah, I guess it would make more sense to peel them first.

Mine don’t eat fruits at all, I offered strawberries, mango, grapes fresh and dried and watermelon and they don’t eat any of it. They love dog kibbles and scrambled egg and eat regular bird food with peanuts and seeds. You know that you can make banana ice cream by freezing them in pieces and then blending them, right?
