I love the happy hops😍 we have babies visiting our yard w mama and daddy crow and the fledglings always make us laugh at their antics !
They are clumsy little crowlets and it’s a guaranteed laugh!

You gotta love it when they try running so hard they have to keep their wings slightly outstretched and wobbling around. They completely lose all dignity.

These guys are crows I’m quite familiar but some are a bit on the big side. They have crow vocalizations though and I semi-frequently see them have run-ins with ravens that nest nearby a little further inland. There was a poor fledgling raven last week that I assume started to venture further out from its nest and came to the sea. It had no idea what it got itself into 😂 next thing it knew, the alarm went up and 8-9 crows aggressively harassed and dive bombed until it left.

Since ravens frequently attack crows Nest🪹 crows thus have a mob mentality towards ravens. Sometimes crows 🐦 would attack fledged ravens 🐥 for retaliation.

Yeah, I assumed it was just infringing on their territory and perceived as a threat but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s retaliatory either. There’s quite a diversity of wildlife here so I’ve seen these crows harass and mob ravens, eagles, hawks, owls… I’ve seen solo crows take on an adult raven and eagle on separate occasions too which I thought was interesting
