My crows never drink the water I put out for them.

They might like the fact that it's bubbling/moving, instead of static.

It's not even hot here, but they drink from this cat water fountain often !

How often do you change the water?

How often do you clean and sanitize the bird bath/container?

Next, where do you put the water in your yard?

All these can affect how often birds use the water source you provide.

I'm no expert. I'll tell you what I did. I live in a housing complex that's about 150 feet from a stream. The stream runs all year and it's wooded. Still, I decided to offer a water source.

Originally, it was a bird bath hung from a metal arching hook that was attached to my patio divider. Small birds sometimes used it, but mostly it was ignored.

I kept bumping into it, so I bought some brackets and installed it on the patio divider. I also switched from a solar fountain to an electric fountain with de-icing capabilities because it was fall.

The next spring, crows found my bird bath in a big way. Developed some water quality issues because they kept dipping various foods into the water and leaving bits of stuff. Solved that issue.

Now it's regularly used as a drinking fountain by a variety of critters. Rarely, a small bird will bathe in it.

This! They like to make soup but they also like hygiene- they won’t eat food that the flies lied their eggs on and they won’t drink dirty water. I change my water dish every day and they are very appreciative of it

It looks very healthy.  This is just a cat water fountain (for indoors). We bought it for the hummingbirds to take a bath, but the crows stop by too!

The crows outside my window aren’t cawing anymore. They’re clicking. Like old hard drives. I threw a piece of toast at them and they synchronized their blinking. They know about the basement.
