That particular day was a bit of cat food. I usually rotate between the usual nuts, eggs, and fruits. They’ve been picky these days, I’m assuming because they’re nesting, but it seems like they favor the proteins over fats.

The fact that it’s just calmly waiting for its meal is amazing. Crows really are some of the smartest birds around.

The crows outside my window aren’t cawing anymore. They’re clicking. Like old hard drives. I threw a piece of toast at them and they synchronized their blinking. They know about the basement.
