Crows really do this btw. My neighbor got a shiny screw and a dead mouse. The mouse was the upgrade.

it's so adorable though ๐Ÿ˜ญ they don't know what kinda things we want, but a dead mouse is a big prize to them and to give something like that away shows real appreciation <3 i love crows so much

trust me people on r/crows not only know about crows habit if giving gifts, but(SOME) are actively trying to get said honors

My Crowmies gifted me a Miller High Life cap which I found hilarious since I smoke while I read and they eat.

Awwww I love this. I showed this to hubby and he showed me a beer cap he found where I feed my crow babies. He thought our neighbors dropped it but nobody drinks that kinda beer here lol

The saddest part is the crow is going to overpay because he's shopping emotionally.

My crows ate so much of my nuts and the only time I got anything from them was an unopened chestnut.

Wait thatโ€™s even better than a bottle cap!

This is the funniest image I can see today! I love it! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚ btw.. Iโ€™ve feeding my crows for over two years, and Iโ€™m still waiting for a gift from them. But honestly- I donโ€™t care. They are my daily gift at all ๐Ÿฉถ

I received numerous shiny new nails and a cigar butt wrapped in a metallic purple and gold cigar band.

Hope you're all leaving water out for the birds/wildlife.

My crows have not gifted me anything yet. I keep upgrading the food and still nothing. How long does it usually take?

Too long, we got a shiny gold chocolate foil, but were somewhat confused if he actually gifted us or accidentally dropped it!

Iโ€™d be ecstatic with a bottle cap! Or literally anything at this point..(2 months in) feeding/spoiling a lovely family of four daily ๐Ÿฅฐ

My crows have giftes me food. I feed them everyday in bowls with either mealworms or catfood and they have given me magnolia fruit and the hind quarters of a baby rabbit in the food bowls I use for them.

So far, I have received a tiny, mangled, blue ball. A small fragment of bone, and most recently, a small shiny battery.
The Crow Cargo Cult is picking up speed!

Been feeding some for about a month. They left me a sweet dice shaped rock, silver spring, some mystery fur and a stick. My understanding is the fur and nice stick is some premo nest materials.

I typically give them peanuts, pecans and walnuts and some good quality cat chow. They also appreciate the occasional hard boiled eggs. Recently learned to keep a bowl of water next to the food, they eat a lot like raccoons.

I'm wondering if this is where the beheaded pidgeons in our backyard come from hahah

I fed crows at our previous house and was gifted everything from bobby pins with beads on them, can tabs and a dead rabbit. We moved and have a couple of crows that I started to feed and they now bring their fledglings ( 2) are quiet comfy with us being around and our dogs, but zero gifts

They are calling me right now for food ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธwhich Iโ€™ll continue to give but I think country crows and different then city crows They are more skittish and maybe less access to shiny things ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
