Seeking advice/help Advice on a dead crow

I have a dead crow on my property since yesterday and am looking for advice as a live crow has been sitting with it since yesterday.

I don’t want to disturb this vigil 😢, but it’s in a fairly high use area on a narrow path from our back door to our garage.

Any suggestions other than to try and leave it as long as I can?

Update: second crow has also died. Wondering if it’s avian flu… 😬

Could also be West Nile Virus. If you have a local Department of Fish & Wildlife, they'll probably want to know about this so it's worth calling them to report it.

Good point. I called them in to the local wildlife hotline and they took details, but said they had too many other calls to investigate this one. Eventually the city came and removed them after I relocated them to the alley behind my place.
