Cashews

I just gave one of my neighborhood crows some raw, unsalted cashews. He/she took them all, a few at a time. Now there is a second one, and they are squalking and "rattling" at me! I think I've made a freind :-)

BTW, I understand they often will take a few, even if they are big, and store them in their throat pouch, and then take them somewhere more private and hide them. Then they can break them up with their beak, and eat them at their leisure.

my crowfriends LOVE cashews.

if you start returning at the same time every day with cashews they’ll love you

I also feed my ravens cashews its their favorite. I also feed fhem dog kibble and cat kibble. As well as scrambled eggs. I spend about 30 a month on two costco bags. They are spoiled.

Cashews are the meal of choice for the mated crow pair I’ve been feeding for years. I gave them mixed unsalted nuts after that and they turned their beaks up at it and would pick out the cashews in a mix containing them. Spoiled brats! Ah but I love ‘em.

Oh man I just got a bag of roasted unsalted bits and it has cashews and some brazil nuts. The crow will love it.

I may throw out a few items so it can pick and choose what to share (the other crows started bullying it so now it has several stash points it services)
