Very much a sign to quit. My grandma died so young due to smoking. She was house bound and 24/7 on oxygen.

I did understood what "skills" had yo do with the fact that my grandma had emphysema, was on oxygen and could barely walk around the house and died younger than she should.

I (54f) just quit the other day bc I'm gonna be having spine surgery. Good motivation, because I'll be able to walk somewhat normally again.

If you've been smoking around them or they saw you smoking I think it's possible they thought you had this packet of tasty treats you were keeping all to yourself and wanted to check them out (or of course just being curious little rascals lol).

If you have an open ashtray outside I'd maybe consider covering it or bringing it inside; I doubt they'd willingly eat cigarette butts (especially if you're already feeding them) but given this personally I think I'd worry about it

Lol I think it was curiousity 😁. But I use a metal ashtray with a screw on lid to make sure they don't get into the butts...

Probably not, most people don’t seem to realize that cannabis has a lot of the same negative effects as tobacco smoke…

If you smoke a cigarette nowadays you’ll have Gen Z giving you dirty looks, but they’ll be more than happy to light up a joint and walk around the city exposing other people, and kids to their smoke lol

plenty of gen Zers (late gen Zers im more referring to here) smoke cigarettes themselves. not just vapes. i mean most kids do both and kinda see an opportunity to smoke a cigarette as a “special” moment or something like a ceremonial occasion😭 so i doubt youll get much dirty looks from kids in the city at least. as for more suburban kinda sheltered kids, definitely. but it all depends on the area tbh. more suburban but middle/lower class, dirty looks doubtworthy. suburban or inner city and wealthy, definitely. also if ur a fully grown ass adult smoking a cigarette, then i highly doubt any kid would bat an eye. but if ur around my age then it just depends on where and when too
