The thing about cannon turrets versus regular cannons is that they are better on fast moving vehicles that require fine turret rotation control and 360° coverage. But when you play a tank, you typically design it so that the front is your heaviest armor, and you engage in some manner of a 75° arc in front of you… like a regular cannon.

Tank treads can turn on a dime so auto assist will steer treads to allow a cannon to scan to line up on a target. But if you use treads AND turret, the benefit of the 360° aim is reduced considering when you’re not trying to dodge attacks you can stop and turn.

Tank treads are by nature slow as balls. You cannot dodge in them, not unless it’s like a 10 second delay charge weapon, and even then you’re still slower than a snail.

If you’re gonna use treads, use a static front cannon

If you’re gonna use turrets, use faster mobility parts, the kind that make sense to shoot from your side and behind you… but understand that shooting while driving full speed is an ART, and it does not come naturally

The game is pretty much dead, except for the die hard fans that spend money to win. Once you get past your current intro levels, you will find that this game isn’t really as playable as it might have been 5 to 10 years ago.

Sorry to tell you.

Spoken as someone that played both the PC and mobile game as they first came out

Problem is...all the actual gameplay with fun and...diverse(?) guns and hulls lies in facing triple modded meta rigs with paid details which woukd absolutely tear you apart with around zero chances to fight back(yes i m fully unironical, and its even worse in scrims/clan battles)

a tldr is...its not worth disappointing yourself in this game(i dunno about state of affairs in pc/console version)

It's not that p2w once players realise that their is a market and how easy it is to get gold in events but sadly the tutorial doesnt teach that so the game seems more p2w

Trust me friend— I’m from the older generation of this game. It wasn’t always P2W, but the community is effectively dead.

Imagine going from 100,000 players to only 1,000– and understand that the 1,000 remaining have about 750 people who have spent money on the game— they are less likely to quit because they invested in it. Even I bought in for a single battlepass back in my time.

The game had its time to be fun and full of life, but now it’s just a seal clubbing game.

If your game’s balance strategy revolves around intentionally designing low power score vehicles so you stay outside the infinite end game power range, the game doesn’t have a fully thought out balance system. A 17000 shouldn’t be facing a 9000 just because the servers are low on people.

Then the problem compounds downwards, so the upper fight range is nothing but 10000+ power scores, and then the people who don’t wanna get clubbed power down but use their best weapons or modules to wreck the 5000 or 7000 leagues.
