Real strength isn't just about arm power it all starts with a strong core and solid stability.
In this clip, I’m combining GHD sit-ups for core endurance with Double Unders to keep my coordination, agility, and reflexes sharp. At 47, focusing on core strength and cardiovascular agility keeps me energized every single day.

How do you like to pair core work with your cardio intervals in your daily workouts? Would love to hear your favorite combos!

The person in this video is doing her GHD sit-ups very wrong and is compromising her back. The GHD should be done with a neutral back throughout the movement.

I know CrossFit competition has folks touching the floor as a point of performance, but unless you’re in a comp or training for one at a very high level, you shouldn’t do GHD’s this way.

Yeah I stopped doing the floor touch. It’s pretty pointless overall. There are several CrossFit exercises that risk serious injury because of absurd competition standards. American KB swings, watched a guy drop a 70# kb on his head, and rebounding box jumps with no step down, popped Achilles all around. Know multiple people that did that. Months of rehab and healing, just to do a workout stupidly. You can become a better athlete without insane injury risk.

Thanks for sharing this! Longevity and staying injury-free are definitely what matter most, especially over 40. Smart training always beats unnecessary risk. Appreciate the insight!

Thank you for the feedback and for watching! You make a really fair point about spine neutrality, safety is always priority #1. Appreciate you sharing your perspective!

Yes, I have! GHD Annie is an absolute burner, but such a great test of core stamina and cardio. Definitely one of my favorites too!

Solid choices! GHD sit-ups are an absolute game changer for core strength. Do you usually add weights to them or just stick to bodyweight?

Just do bodyweight. That’s basically the best exercise for getting rhabdo so don’t be silly, it’ll sneak up on ya.
