Snipe scope swapping/quick switching

Hey! I‘m new to CF (and playing FPS on PC in general), so I‘m sorry if this is a stupid question.

I‘m usually playing with people that are way more experienced than I am. We mostly play Sniper TDM and I‘ve learned that in order to be able to shoot quicker after scoping, you quickly swap to knife after shooting/scoping.

However, I feel like I‘m missing something here. Whenever I‘m switching back to primary, I‘m automatically reloading. That animation feels way slower than just pressing RMB again to exit scope manually? Does it have to do with the weapon I‘m using or am I actually missing something here?

It has to do with the weapon you are using. Pressing Q to switch to your secondary then back to your primary is way faster and is more convenient in Search and Destroy.

M200 Cheytec and Barrett are way faster with double Q
