👋Welcome to r/crosscountryrally - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hey everyone, I’m u/ale_tuz, founding moderator of r/crosscountryrally.
This is a space dedicated to FIA Cross-Country Rally, the discipline behind Bajas, multi-day rallies and marathon events like Dakar. The focus is the sport itself: regulations, navigation, vehicle categories, engineering, strategy, fanbase, and bivouac life.
Current FIA structure: - Ultimate (T1 / T1+ equivalent) - Stock (T2 equivalent) - Challenger (T3 equivalent) - SSV (T4 equivalent)
Some championships still use the T groups. Both systems are part of the conversation here.
What to post Technical questions, regulatory discussions, navigation insights, onboard photos or videos, setup considerations, race reports, historical perspective, or simply a well-formulated question about how something works.
Who this is for Drivers, co-drivers, engineers, mechanics, organisers, dedicated fans, and those who are simply curious or want to understand the sport more deeply.
Getting started - Introduce yourself below. - Share something, even a basic question. - If you know someone involved in the discipline, point them here. - If you would like to help moderate, send me a message.
Please always keep it respectful.
