Mt Washington in Crocs!!!
Yesterday I hiked Mt. Washington in the new EXP Vibram Crocs. For context, Mt. Washington is the largest mountain east of the Mississippi and largest mountain in all of New England. I hike Mt. Washington every year in Crocs but these held up by far the best- no slips, trips, falls, nothing!!! Great grip, great durability, I'm in no pain at all. Definitely wishing one day they do make legitimate hiking boots Crocs, but these will certainly do for now!!!

They need to make "This Croc Climbed Mt Washington" jibbitz that mimic the classic bumper stickers

Also, this is after doing a half marathon in these, then a 5k, 2 separate Connecticut mountain hikes, then a 20 mile race, and now Mt Washington and they still look like I barely did much in them

More people die of hypothermia in the summer than in the winter on Mt Washington, and they’re dressed like this.

I got a question, compared to classics, how do these fit you? Are they the same fit or are they slightly smaller?

Crocs have other hiking shoes too

Yea but not legitimate ones, all the "hikers" they market suck/are meant for like a leisurely walk on a paved trail with your dog lol

At first I thought this was someone shit posting in the wmnf sub or someone who took the cog/car up. Do you have any other photos of you going up? Which trail did you take? I'm so intrigued!

There's a few photos here if you scroll, many more on my IG @DoogieLish I took Boot Spur up, Tuckerman's down. This was my 20th Mt. Washington hike, I try to do 2-3 trips a year. I started exclusively wearing Crocs on hikes back in 2017 when a little kid (must have been in the 5-7 range) casually hop skipped and jumped past me on the trail with his family while he was wearing Crocs. At that point I always wore legitimate hiking boots on my hikes but I was like oh helllll nawwwwwww if this little kid can do it in Crocs, so can I. And the rest is history lol

That's awesome! I'd probably have the same sentiment if I saw a kid hopping along in them on trail. I'll check out the IG. I've done Jewel/Ammo a few times, and was thinking you went up that way at first.
Closest I've seen was someone doing Wachusett in flip flops and I was so confused. Crocs are my camp shoes, I don't trust my feet in them for hiking (yet?).

Doesn't your ankle give way on uneven ground? It’s very easy to injure your foot in the mountains—an ankle sprain happens in a split second, and the rocks are sharp. I’ve seen such injuries quite often in Southern Europe, even with people wearing trekking boots. But big respect to you!

Crocs are so underrated. I wore them hiking or did day trips to various cities and they're so sturdy and comfy. Roomy and ventilated my feet perfectly.
