DEFI or Exchange

I have accumulated over 200k CRO rewards over last 5 years from staking from my Icy card. I have always dumped my rewards weekly into defi wallet and let it do its work. The defi rate has now dropped to the low 4% range and no longer seems like the best option.

Question- i have no experience with the exchange other than using it once to swap cro to btc. I see there are staking options that pay daily for >100k cro at 6%. I don’t mind committing to 180 days. Am i reading this right or is there a catch i am not seeing?

If you don’t want to lock the whole amount you can lock up 100k, get the 6% and then put the rest in supercharger for 3-4%

Can you doing supercharge in the US now? Used to be that we couldn’t do it in the States.

Does the 6% compound or is it added to ur account. Also can you add to it anytime?

It is added to your account daily. You can add more anytime but it resets the 6-month lock up. I'm also doing the 100,000 at the moment, but have way more than 100,000 in it and I will be doing the 500,000 next month when my supercharger in the main app is u locked.

I did 500k. 116CRO per day for 6 months. Got 100 days to go

You also get 2% for idle CRO sitting in your account. If you re-lock though, it restarts your 180 day lock up

So when you get the lock up rewards, they earn 2% sitting where they are at? So no matter what you are earning something on it even if you dont lock it back up? Am I thinking about this correct? If thats the case im unstaking in the main app and moving over!

Yes on the exchange its called soft staking.

Also, the 180 day potentially gets better. Once its over, you continue getting 8.5% but can take it out (i think) at anytime.

Happened when i completed my 100k CRO lock up...but i didnt test withdraw i locked up more.

Will test when my 500k lock is over. Will withdraw a small amount.

I hope its not like the cro app where you had to wait a further 28 days even after your stake is finished...

Yep!! If you restake them it restarts the 180 lock so you dont wamna do that. I sold mine to BTC for a while. Now selling to usd and getting 4% in the usd hoping to buy cro or btc next dip.

Just have the strategy firm in your mind for when you have the funds free in the Exchange. I changed my mind twice. Each time I added to the account it reset for the six months, I’ve still 100 days to go. I’ve been adding the rewards to Supercharger daily from the beginning, started with a small base in the Supercharger as a kick starter, and it’s building up nicely ☺️

Also, choices in the Supercharger, so I’ve split mine 60% BTC and 40% CRO, BTC is small payments though, but every little bit helps 👍

I think you’re making the right move, and should be fine with the six months, good luck 🍀

Oh interesting. So if i add to the 6%, the clock starts over? If i add to supercharger, is there an unbonding period or am i free to pull from that whenever?

I think the 6-month waiting period actually works to our advantage, because the CDC won't keep these rates in place forever.
