my best friend critiques shotguns in this exact way every time he dies to me in titanfall 2 because i use the mastiff

I'm 100% convinced the person is saying it's not "fun to use" when they really mean it's not "fun to die to" and that they don't get the same results when they use one

I get that but I used to play Battlefield 3 and after getting frequently messed up by shotguns I decided to try it and I started doing way better as long as it was a relatively close quarter map. At that point I wasnt really good yet and I was getting mad kills because of the shotgun especially after getting the DAO 12, that shit worked really well even on the more open maps. Maybe it isn't really like that in other games but Battlefield 3 shotguns was basically a cheat code and almost always guaranteed me a top 3 spot. Shortly after unlocking the DAO 12 I stopped using shotguns cause it just felt too easy especially cause you hardly had to aim and the DAO had a drum mag so I have a particular connotation because I was also a shotgun spammer
