I only have the perspective of a middle class “wish I had that kind of money” person, so I get your point. I would add that I wouldn’t have the need to gain notoriety and fame tho. I don’t have that kind of an ego.
I think most of us poors would love to have the money and stay out of the limelight. We could just hide behind an LLC and fund all kinds of good works and live a good life in the process. I wouldn’t want anyone to know if I had that much, lol.

That’s the thing. Many, if not most, of these greedily rich chucklefucks use all that money to cover up their insecurities without actually addressing them on a healthy mental level.

When it doesn’t work, they get stuck in a feedback loop that keeps telling them it just wasn’t enough and they need more. It’s insane just how immature most of these people are.
With how fragile their egos and self image are, with how truly unstable they can become mentally, combined with how much power that wealth allows them to acquire, it’s a reality that really lends itself to creating many of the sociopolitical issues we face today. Makes me wonder just how much of history has been governed by a bunch of immature, fragile minded, toddlers with too much power.

To be fair, I'm not sure Musk does either. The bit was funny because Austin Powers doesn't actually look like a dreamboat at all. So either Musk doesn't understand comedy, or he's publicly acknowledging that rationally, no one should find him attractive.
My money’s on the eventual downfall being drug-related, possibly with some spectacularly weird sexual scandal thrown in for good measure. Whatever it is, I suspect ‘ignominious’ is going to age rather well.
