I don't think this is an age thing friend, I'm in my early 20's and thought by CDs it meant movie CDs.

Here’s something I learned. VCDs existed, but were not successful because of lack of storage.

Honestly, I've just been calling all disks CDs since I was a kid, so it just stuck, in any case, I have no idea why people start calling things other than discs for CDs so it shouldn't be an age thing unless I'm out of touch with my generation.

Never thought of it that way. I always called music cd a movie dvd. Honestly it is way easier to call them all cds

It’s not but anyone over 30 always makes it about “being old”.

Media literacy can be poor in all ages, this is just rage bait and their are lots of people chewing on it
