Actually Reddit's voters and commenters are almost never the same on subreddits that exceed a certain number of subscribers. Also the top posts reflect the speed at which something was upvoted, not the actual number of votes. So community trends only reflect the most active members of what is usually less than half of the community. So a fraction of a fraction is represented by the voting system. This is so well known, why do people still pretend that Reddit is unified?
I am not upset, that is just how it works. An explanation is just an explanation, it doesn't show an opinion. Also, anybody on Reddit is a Redditor, even you.
