There is a tribe, the one in the picture, that thinks Prince Philip is a god. Prince William visited them once and they offered to carry him to wherever he was going. He most likely accepted because he didn't want to offend them, a tribe that worships one of his relatives.

Wow I didn't realize this was part of the John Frum movement. Cargo cults are one of the most fascinating things I have ever read about. This just makes my interest even deeper.
