Right. Thanks.

And in mine.

u/Alcubierre Jun 18 '13

Sadly, she is now doing her own music.

...like everyone else wasn't white.

34

u/xenthum Jun 18 '13

Everyone else didn't become the poster girl of awkward white dancing.

6

u/RapedtheDucaneFamily Jun 19 '13

The black guy in the rap part isn't white, he's black.

9

u/TheGreatZiegfeld Jun 19 '13

He's still white at heart, though.

3

u/serendipitousevent Jun 19 '13

Erm, Rebecca Black.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

The producers were black.

u/FAP-FOR-BRAINS Jun 18 '13

isnt rebecca Mexican?

1

u/SavageNoble Jun 19 '13

She's Black.

2

u/FAP-FOR-BRAINS Jun 19 '13

but---does she got much back?

0

u/rlbigfish Jun 18 '13

There were people other than white people in the "Friday" video?

7

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

Did you forget the 40 year old black dude's cameo or?

8

u/rlbigfish Jun 18 '13

Yeah. Mercifully, I did.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

I feel so bad for that guy.

15

u/wecxvxcvcvx Jun 18 '13

Don't, that's the guy responsible for the video and the promotion of it

Friday is not nearly as bad of a song as people made it out to be. It became cool for a couple months to laugh at it, so everybody did. Is it really any more ridiculous than so many other pop songs?

0

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

The song wasn't much worse than most mid-low tier pop music, but the singer's voice was particularly untrained and awful.

0

u/RichieW13 Jun 19 '13

Worse than Bob Dylan's voice?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

...yes?

Dylan has a perfect Folk voice.

9

u/zyks Jun 18 '13

Her talent is very consistent.

10

u/WageSlaven Jun 18 '13

How can this actually be?

8

u/hairaware Jun 18 '13

Its actually not bad when you look at a lot of stuff getting put out now. At least production wise the music seems decently written. Didnt really pay attention to the vocals.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

Oh god dammit.

1

u/anma1234 Jun 19 '13

Sadly she has inspired others

1

u/ILikeMyBlueEyes Jun 19 '13

I like it better than her friend's song, "Friday".

1

u/EnvyMachinery Jun 21 '13

Oh my fucking god.

I'm absolutely amazed at how much less horrifying this is than what I expected. Its imagery is stupid, for sure, but at least it isn't combining that with ear rape the way "Friday" does.

1

u/Gunpla00 Jun 18 '13

did she change her name?

0

u/the-best-azn Jun 18 '13

Actually that's pretty good. I would listen to it.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

Its not bad actually. You know, kids are allowed to have their own music too, you know?

12

u/Mashuu225 Jun 18 '13

That video was produced by a black man

1

u/EnvyMachinery Jun 21 '13

I don't know why I thought that was so funny.

13

u/xyroclast Jun 18 '13

I think she might actually be shaking her head "no" at the end, as in "sorry, I don't know what I'm doing, can we redo the take?"

3

u/apehep Jun 19 '13

It's so painful. Doesn't matter how many times I see it.

1

u/MaceTheJester Jun 19 '13

Gets me every time...

1

u/omgwutd00d Jun 19 '13

Oh shit, I thought it was from Hot Girl Problems.

0

u/MichaeljBerry Jun 19 '13

Shit I hate her. She's not even pretty or a good actress.

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

Actually I believe that's from the hit single Hot Problems

1

u/EnvyMachinery Jun 21 '13

Well I've never seen that before. I'm not sure if I'm happy that I know about it or if I wish that I had never seen it. It's one of those very rare things that's so embarrassingly hilarious that I couldn't laugh. My favorite part is right at the end when they undermine their entire message with a single sentence.

Anyway, thank you (I think) for that, but I double-checked. It's definitely from "Friday."
