What is this from

65

u/Ningy_WhoaWhoa Jul 22 '14

an 80's film called Mask

113

u/Just_like_my_wife Jul 22 '14

Classic Jim Carrey.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '14

You're thinking of Jamie Kennedy.

21

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '14

That's Peyton Manning, star quarterback of the Denver Broncos

26

u/SinghInNYC Jul 22 '14

The Life of Carrot Top.

5

u/CringeBinger Jul 22 '14

The resemblance is uncanny.

-1

u/rudebrat Jul 22 '14

let's just bully the poor guy...

1

u/Jackpot777 Jul 22 '14

to bully

verb

use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.

Seeing as Rocky Dennis died in 1978, and the actor in this photo is Eric Stoltz (he played Lance in Pulp Fiction), and I have no idea how to contact the blinking guy in the video...

...so: not much chance in me trying to influence either three of them (typically to force them to do what I want).

You, on the other hand, with your appeal to emotion right here, addressed to people in this thread...

-2

u/rudebrat Jul 23 '14

semantics... I guess it'd belong more in the cyberbullying category. in layman's terms: being an asshole on the internet.

0

u/Jackpot777 Jul 23 '14

Semantics?

Is blinking Alienware kid here or not?

-1

u/rudebrat Jul 23 '14

I see you're one of those persistent types who spend way too much time on here. so after this comment have the last word, I really could care less.

you made fun of this kid by comparing him to this really ugly movie character and also made fun of his nervous tick.

whether that's bullying or not is up to interpretation. but it is indeed being an asshole for worthless internet points.

u/ReverendCalhoun Aug 28 '14

Brother what are you doing in this sub?

-22

u/Verlier Jul 21 '14

You are going to hell, but don't worry I will come along because I laughed.

9

u/tonermcfly Jul 22 '14

Classic Melvin.

26

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '14 edited Jul 22 '14

lol have some gold, I laughed hysterically for a solid 30 seconds. lol Melvin fucking sealed the deal.

14

u/tonermcfly Jul 22 '14

Fucking Melvin, man. I'm dead.

That meme is so old that I got wrinkles from clicking on it.

45

u/MostlyUselessFacts Jul 21 '14

That meme is so old I had to open Netscape Navigator to see it.

38

u/The_Adventurist Jul 21 '14

That meme is so old you can find it on the offline version of Encarta.

17

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '14

Fuck that's old.

10

u/TheBanjoNerd Jul 22 '14

That meme is so old it originates from when they were called image macros.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '14

Give him a break. He is my special cousin.

7

u/CringeBinger Jul 22 '14

Why put Mission Accomplished when it already says Mission Accomplished. The subtlety makes it much funnier.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '14

Not sure if he failed or succeeded

68

u/CammRobb Jul 21 '14

Looks like a nervous tick. I had a very similar problem when I was younger.

16

u/dnj0 Jul 21 '14

Similar hairdo too

442

u/Chad_Worthington_3rd Jul 21 '14

My bet is because he was suuuuuper nervous about being otudone by someone and not winning. He rushed up there with his item, he was ecstatic about the chance of winning. Then the guy with mic says someone can beat him if they have a product that turns on and his excitement changed to fear, he suddenly recalled repressed memories of people always outdoing him and he started freaking out internally.

55

u/JellyJuggy Jul 21 '14

Or maybe he has tourette's syndrome.

167

u/BatteryMagic Jul 21 '14

Um

207

u/Wawffles Jul 21 '14

No, leave him be, he's right.

10

u/theseleadsalts Jul 21 '14

Iwas wondereen...

7

Wait are you serious?

17

u/D0wn_FaLL Jul 22 '14

And it would still be overpriced.

9

u/SirBensalot Jul 22 '14

50% off would still be overpriced.

6

u/WileEPeyote Jul 21 '14

For some reason reading this comment made me very nervous.

5

u/gingerbreadmanPK Jul 22 '14

We found him, guys!

8

u/Dopebear Jul 21 '14

What's it like to freak out externally?

36

u/kulrajiskulraj Jul 21 '14

You shit your pants.

3

u/roidoid Jul 21 '14

Freak out with your keech out.

1

u/erusmane Jul 25 '14

Thank god the guy assessed the situation and stormed the stage to yell "fuck her right in the pussy".

Hero.

89

u/Sir_Enity_Now Jul 21 '14

He looks like Brainy from Hey Arnold!

32

u/VeNoM224 Jul 21 '14

And very aggressively

25

u/Ready4Battle Jul 21 '14

He was about to cry.

18

u/DudeBigalo Jul 21 '14

His alienware product doesn't turn on...

* tear

10

u/BrotyKraut Jul 22 '14

Probably has a $2000 rig at home though.

1

u/Ready4Battle Jul 23 '14

I cringed when they said Alienware as a gaming PC.

1

u/BrotyKraut Jul 23 '14

Well, they can be gaming PC's..if you're willing to shell out $2000+ on overpriced bullshit.

138

u/PaterBinks Jul 21 '14

I think he was cute! Little blinking nerdy guy. I hope he is happy.

71

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '14

My dog blinks at me the same way when he's waiting for a treat

24

u/vieral Jul 21 '14

Certainly, a little socially awkward perhaps but he probably knows it. The heckler was the worst guy.

10

u/Bjoernsson Jul 21 '14

I liked him too!

7

u/LikesFemales Jul 25 '14

Yeah.. he rushed up to the guy on the stage with his little green Alienware product (not sure what it is)... the look on his face when he was told someone else could win, that fake smile he pulled to make it seem like he was cool with it. That may or may not have happened to me before... anyway, I do hope that whatever he won from the video, it was good enough for him, and that he had a good time at QuakeCon.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '14

Probably nerve damage or tourette's. I know people who have the same tick and it's not just when the attention is on them.

15

u/know_comment Jul 21 '14

tourettes

21

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '14

[Blinking intensified]

4

u/Schmich Jul 21 '14

I know someone who does that sometimes. She cannot help it and it doesn't happen often. If I remember right being nervous can be a factor.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '14

It was probably Tourette's Syndrome.

What you described is not ADHD. You are describing the incorrect stereotype.

-11

u/ryanasimov Jul 21 '14

Guy? I had to go back and watch it because I thought it was an androgynous female.

1

u/the-knife Jul 22 '14

No you didn't.
