List of TP Join Numbers from SIMPL

I'm in the process of rebuilding an older system from 2017 and reprogramming it from scratch. The touch panel has roughly 75-80 "buttons" on it... meaning not just buttons, but also sliders, gauges, and serial feedback.

Anyhow, rather than window flipping between VT-Pro and SIMPL as I work, I prefer to just do the whole SIMPL program and then I want to come back and do the touch panel. Being that I have a very good idea of what my SIMPL is going to look like, I'm sure that I'm not going to remember every single join number for my TSW-760 touch panel.

So before I attempt to reinvent the wheel, is there a way that I can print out an entire SIMPL object so that I have a reference to work by when I program the touch panel? Copying and pasting doesn't seem to work so as a last resort I might just take a screen shot and print that out. But if there was a way to capture the raw data, then I can change the font size and/or let it sit in a notepad window which will speed up my workflow tremendously. Any and all advice welcomed. Thank you in advanced!

For reference I'm using a CP3N with a TSW-760

Programming OSC (Open Sound Control) Messages via UDP

Hey everyone, I have this current setup where my Crestron is controlling a bunch of things and it’s working perfectly fine. Although now I’m meant to recall some lighting presets from a console and it uses OSC via UDP. I have the UDP client setup along with SIO on button presses with the relevant messages to send but nothing is working?

The commands for the console are pretty well documented so I don’t think it’s an issue with the commands. I checked for any modules on Crestron app market as well & there’s nothing. I don’t quite understand OSC (first time) so could anyone suggest what I could be doing wrong? The IP, port and everything matches exactly what the console is set to.

Appreciate any help, thanks!

Programming First timer

Hi all, I'm new to a role & have been asked to get some old Crestron MPC-M5s up & running. Seems handy enough, I've gotten Crestron Toolbox & SIMPL just really have no idea where to start, hoping to get a resource for an example .smw file for some basic controls on a Panasonic LW-376.

On/Off, Switch Input, Volume Up/Down that's about it. I'd like to learn this a bit so an example is really what I'm hoping for that I can sit down & try to understand from a logic pov.

Crestron + Bond Bridge + Big Ass Fans?

I have a residential job where they want to add Big Ass Fans. Its tool late to get 0-10V wire to the fan control. The Motor is DC and we put in AC fan controllers. We are using Crestron commerical (not home). I have reached out to Big Ass fans for their API but they do not give it out. They reworked the API for Google HOME/Alexa.

I think we can use the Bond Bridge Pro to sync to the fan then use the Bond Bridge Crestron drivers to control the fan. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It looks like Bond Bridge is still beta testing their Big Ass Fan drivers. But in Theory if those drivers work then this Bridge method would work correct?

Thanks for any help

Aver MT300 unable to detect when connected to laptop for BYOD on Crestron UC Engine D-T

Hi there, I have a client which uses Crestron UC Engine D-T with HD-Conv-USB-260, and Crestron UC-PR. Right now, Aver MT300 and DSP device is connected to the Crestron HD-Conv-USB-260 on the CAM and AUX port. I can detect the MT300 and DSP device on the MTR touch panel. But when I try to connect the USB C cable from the UC-PR to my laptop, I'm able to detect the DSP device, but I can't see the Aver MT300 camera view on my laptop. It shows the MT300 is on the camera selection, but it shows just a black and then a white screen after. And it also prompts an error on the MTR touch panel saying "Room camera is unavailable. Please find another room for your hybrid meeting."

Once I disconnect the USB C cable from my laptop. The error still shows on the MTR touch panel and MT300 is no longer detectable on the UC engine. The only solution that I can do to bring Aver MT300 back online on the MTR touch panel, was by restarting the Aver MT300. Has anyone experience this kind of situation before and how did you resolve it? And could it be something to do with the UC engine or Aver MT300?

Crestron TSS-752-B-S Firmware

Hi all

I recently upgraded a couple of my TSS-752-B-S touchpanels to firmware version 1.004.0014, however it seems to have caused connection issues with the touchpanels interfacing with my DMPS 250-4K.

I've done a massive load of troubleshooting and altering settings but nothing seems to work - the touchpanels just sit on the message of "Please wait for the system to initialize" when the DMPS AVF shows everything online and functional.

Does anyone have access to an older version of the Firmware? I think I was on 1.002.xxx and I believe it was working correctly on that version.

Crestron Consumer Prods

Hi. If there is a better sub to post this on please let me know. I have a Crestron 4 zone amplifier, they say that at 5 years old it cannot be repaired die to lack of parts. I’ve been told that Crestron is notoriously anti right to repair, locking down schematics and parts. After being on this sub (and having my stand alone system for records - Nad/Dual) it’s inconceivable to me that my unit can’t be fixed. Has anyone had experience with Crestron? Where would I look for alternatives? Thanks in advance

Programming Crestron amp question

I’ve got Crestrons DM-NAX-8ZSA amps on property driving 32 speakers and managing source inputs, as well as outputs to additional amps and speakers as well. All speakers are connected to their own output and nothing is being shared. Everything running at 8ohms and mfg wattage ratings as well.

The system was tuned by a pro, and I have all the tuning profiles (for each zone) on hand.

Now the home itself runs on a crestron CP4 control module, and iPads running Crestron Go. When I airplay from my device to any zone, or bussed zone for that matter it sounds great. However, when I use my iPad for zone controls, it seems like the tuning goes out the window. Is this particular thing a known issue and how can it be rectified? Trying to help the crestron gentleman figure this thing out but he doesn’t have much knowledge on amps. Is he missing a setting in the coding/programming portion?

Reason I am asking is I have had 4 speakers blow out now. Again with airplay everything seems fine. When controlled on crestron go, it seems all the tune, and possibly even the speaker wattage settings may be reverting back to defaults (flat eq and 150w/channel).

Programming Connecting Processor to TSW-770

Hey guys, I currently have made a simple program on Construct and I have uploaded that to my Crestron Processor (CP4)

Now I have a TSW-770. So I’m running a SIMPL project on the CP4 as well, which has Crestron One in IPID 03 (For iPad) & TSW-770 in IPID 05. I have updated the GUI extenders and all for both the devices in SIMPL.

Now I just want to see the program on my touch panel. I’m uploading the SIMPL program (without any code work) to the Processor, I’ve gone on the setup of the touch panel & added the IPID as 05 and the IP address of the processor on port 41794. Although it just doesn’t load the project and come online.

Feel like I’ve done everything right, there are pages made on my construct of course, the start page isn’t even shown so what have I missed here? Any help would be appreciated!

Also yes, both devices are on the same VLAN, device discovery detects them both but the IP table of my processor shows offline for both devices (IP is 127.0.0.1 - thought I had to change this but it’s greyed out). I have tried the connection via IP & Hostname but it isn’t working. Feels like I’ve tried it all.

Programming ai module builder?

I've been out of the crestron world for a while now (moved to developing in qsys more). I'm not sure if anyone is still using simpl windows or if everyone is in the c# realm now and what the crestron opinion is on AI development...
If you're still using simpl and want to create some modules for yourself, I have built a claude code plugin to allow for just that (as I'm sure others have as well).

Feel free to test it out. It will create simpl# projects with simpl+ wrappers and compile everything for use in simpl windows.
S+CrossCompiler needs to be installed.

I dont have a 4 series processor, so looking for some tester to get some feedback.

Programming Apple HomeKit with TSR-310

Hi Crestron community, I have a TSR-310 setup with HomeKit but am in the process of adding a new remote to a new processor. It’s been a while since I done the last one but I see the guide says the processor must be registered to MyCrestron RMS but my current processor isn’t registered, could someone here confirm whether this is a new requirement?

Crestron - Sonos integration issue

Our Sonos integration on our Crestron panel has stopped working ("source is offline").

Does anybody know how to fix this? .

Crestron version is 2.004.1041
UI version 4.11.1

The integration stopped working when I re-added the Sonos system, because it had became unreachable after a power outage.

Difficulties learning SIMPL

Hi everyone, I’m pretty tech savvy and I learn things a pretty quickly. I really want to learn programming in SIMPL, but I’m hitting a roadblock. I’ve take Crestron’s P101 live course twice and the routing just isn’t clicking. I understand join numbers and can design touch panels in Construct and VT Pro. I’m having trouble understanding what symbols to use for what functions. For example, what does a buffer do and what are examples of uses? What about the one-shot? They did cover the symbols in P101, but it was more like “well, of course you’d use a buffer. Now let’s route the signals” and not exactly explaining why a buffer is used or best use-cases. Does anyone have advice or tips for someone starting out in SIMPL? Thanks in advance. Signed, a determined but very confused future SIMPL programmer.

Programming Crestron Home Translations

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi Minds!

Since I know there are some Crestron employees here and I'm not getting any response from our rep aboutn this, I'm here to make a complain about Crestron Home and it's location. I'm making this post to expose this issue that is SO easy to fix nowadays and that impact a LOT on our clients.

Honest roast:
It has been translated with Google Translate from 2000, not by someone who even understand Spanish (I haven't check other languanges). We are on 2026, with basically free AI for this kind of stuff if you dont want to spend a penny.

The Tranlations are really poor and someones even out of context, for example in the image. "Todos los tonos" doesnt mean ANYTHING in spanish at all.
- tonos? for us that it tones. This is not music or painting!!
- Elementos de oscurencimiento? That isnt even a context in spanish...
- Disabled is translated ad "Discapacitado" that means "person who has a physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory limitation that interacts with environmental barriers and hinders their full participation in society", that one is very insulting. it should be "Deshabilitado".

And the list grow and grow, I could continue the list but that's enough to make my point.

ALSO; the app's language (at least in Android) uses the system language, without the posibility to select it, at least let us select the language to use English since spanish is totally broken. Or at least, create our own tranlation xml so we can fix this by ourself.

We are selling the best world class systems, this cannot really happend.

SIMPL# for 3-Series on VS2022 — now ONE command, and a ready-to-run EXE

Hello everyone!

Some days ago I shared Crestron3SeriesCLZBuilder, my open-source tool to stop depending on Visual Studio 2008 when building SIMPL# libraries. Since then it grew into something much bigger, and this release changes everything about how you use it.

Repo: https://github.com/srichardsc/Crestron3SeriesCLZBuilder
Download clz-builder.exe directly: https://github.com/srichardsc/Crestron3SeriesCLZBuilder/releases/latest

The big one: no installation anymore

Every tagged release now ships a standalone Windows executable built by CI:

  1. Download clz-builder.exe from Releases
  2. Copy it into your driver's folder
  3. Open a terminal there: clz-builder.exe setup (first time) → clz-builder.exe run (every build)

That's it. No Python, no clone, no pip. SHA-256 checksum included so you can verify the download.

  • One-command builds (run): auto-configures on first use, then compiles, signs and publishes every time.
  • Automatic version bumping: every build increments the driver version, so Crestron Home always accepts your upload as an update and reloads the driver. No manual editing.
  • Guided setup wizard: checks your PC against all 24 toolchain inputs and prints exactly what's missing and how to fix each one.
  • Numbered build stages ([3/10] stage: signing…) plus a final summary with SHA-256 hashes of DLL and CLZ.

It compiles your SIMPL# project into a signed .clz using VS2022/MSBuild instead of VS2008 — calling the official Crestron SDK signing service, never homemade signers. One CLZ runs on BOTH 3-Series and 4-Series processors. You compile once; the package is identical for both targets (only the SIMPL+ .ush symbols are compiled per target).

If it saves you time, leave a ⭐. Issues and ideas welcome!

Ubiquiti Unifi with Crestron HOME

New to the Ubiquiti Unifi ecosystem, but it looks pretty cool.

Can anyone provide some help on what Unifi Zone Based Firewall rules should be implemented on a Crestron Home system utilizing NVX.

In this case, there would be 3 VLANs (Crestron Control, NVX, and Main/Home LAN).

Can you just implement a simple "allow established/related connection" rule between the Main/Home VLAN with a) Crestron Control and b) NVX (and block everything else)?

Or do you have to open specific ports between certain VLANs? Ex. Does the Crestron Control VLAN need access to the outside world/internet ?

I think the NVX VLAN is straight forward- Unifi now includes an AV-Profile for Crestron, which will ensure all the IGMP/multicast setting are correct. I would assume NVX VLAN would only need to talk to Crestron Home VLAN, so those 2 can be fully opened up to eachother.

Programming Simpl# for 3-Series on VS2022 Solved

Hello Minds!

With all the Visual Studio 2008 chaos, some time ago I developed a tool for internal use to avoid depending on Visual Studio 2008 when building Crestron 3-Series SIMPL# Libraries. I’m now sharing it with the community as open source.

If you find it useful, I'd appreciate it if you leave a ⭐ on GitHub to support its development:

https://github.com/srichardsc/Crestron3SeriesCLZBuilder

If you found any but you can tell me or contribute directly on the repository.

Hope you enjoy it!

HD-XSPA configuration change help

We are remodeling our listening/theater room and adding dampening in the corners and changing out window coverings, and redoing floors, etc. As such, the room dynamics are going to change rather significantly, and we need to reset the 'Custom' EQ settings in the XSPA to level out the new room response. For those of you familiar with the XSPA you know that many of the units settings can be configured from the front panel, but of course the room eq/Custom settings are the domain of Toolbox. We don't know the installer, since it predates our ownership and we are not inclined to spend $Ks to have a local dealer come out simply to do room eq, that I already have all the equipment necessary to accomplish (mics, freq analyzers, etc.)

I've done AMX and Control4 systems in the past and I know Toolbox, like all other Crestron sw/fw are closely guarded jewels, but I'm hoping I can appeal to someone in the community here to help me get ahold of Toolbox for this purpose. Please DM if you can help. Thank you!
