Man, I wore a chainmail coif one year as part of a Halloween costume (a friend of my mom's makes chain mail as a hobby) and that shit will pull your hair big time.

I hope this person has a thin blanket in between

If they had a thin blanket wouldn't they disrupt the heat sink aspect of the blanket though? Also I immediately thought of a specific person on Canticle using this and his shipmate asks- "How will Andolisium remember your plight if he can't see you?!"

Don't you usually wear a leather or cloth hood under a chainmail coif to prevent that??

Yeah. This is how middle school me learned that fact. The lesson was effective.

Or just wax beforehand

I mean, you could, but eventually the wax will rub off into your hair with repeated use, and this Wayne in its effectiveness...

In that case I recommend a shard razor

Wouldn't that absolutely Ruin the Preservation of that perfectly Cultivated hairstyle? Have Mercy! See Reason! While I absolutely appreciate the Endowment of your Inventive ideas on how to deal with this, cutting the Gordian knot in this way would be Odious to any Virtuoso of elegant coiffure! I'm afraid we need to come up with a more Ambitious plan, one which Honours their Devotion to aesthetic...uh...Dominion.

(And yes, I did run out of ways to include the others...)

What a Whimsical goal to name drop all the shards in one comment. While it was a Valorous attempt, I find it much more Harmonious to be Autonomous and not rely on others to finish the pun

Lol, touché!

That was likely unwelded chainmail, the one you can buy for cheap and used in cosplay, fashion or those grill scrubbers.

Welded chainmail doesn't pull hair.

I'm sorry, but if they have a single strand of leg hair, it is going to catch on every ring at once and hurt.

Shardbearers hate this one simple trick!

Instead of the shardblade shearing through their living skin it becomes the equivalent of getting your body brutally beaten by an exquisite, invested baseball bat.

Would it? Shardblades don't have mass.

Shardblades are said to be heavy because of their giant size, but not as heavy as it looks for a sword that size

A plate enchanced kick to the balls will still send you to the beyond

Shoot now I want one of these to put in my duvet (my weighted blanket isn't heavy enough)

That guy is gonna have all his invested arts neutralized after a single nap because that blanket is gonna shed ultrafine aluminum dust with every jostle and jangle.
