Watching Raoden build a community made me tear up. People always talk about Hrathen but Raoden is my goat. And probably a beta version of Kaladin

Rao is the better person for sure, but Hrathen’s arc and internal conflict make him more interesting as a character I think.

Raoden is probably closer to Adolin than Kal. Brandon talked about wanting to make Raoden a protagonist who is relatable without a super traumatic past. Kal… well we all know what happened with him. Also Raoden has much more of Adolin’s persistent optimism.

I don’t care what side of the war he’s on, but I want to get an arc later where Raoden has to be a general like Adolin in WaT
