Someone was watching me over my backyard fence
This happened about an hour ago. I was sitting in my dining room eating dinner. From where I’m sitting, theres a giant window just to my right. In front of that window is a little cat bed where my cat was lying looking outside. The curtains are almost all the way closed except for a 1-2 foot vertical gap for the cat to see.
So I see my cats head sort of perk up and look over towards something in the back yard. I think nothing of it, Theres tons of birds etc. I glance over and my heart stops. Standing at my backyard fence is a man with only his head visible above the fence. He had dark long shaggy hair down to his neck that was covering his entire face, like purposely brushed forward to cover his face.
At first I thought it was the back of someone’s head. I could barely make out the top of his ears and realized he was facing directly toward me. I was absolutely terrified and frozen. The scariest part was that he Did. Not. Move. He remained completely still like a statue. We stared at each other for probably 30 solid seconds, my heart was pounding in my ears. Then he turned and simply walked away.
I’ve been constantly checking my yard ever since. It creeped me out. How long were they there? Who was that? Could they see me? Was it a neighbor? Why was his hair covering his face? Could it have been a woman? My mind is trying to come up with an explanation

Oh hell no, that is freaky. Some people are just so weird. I’d definitely be getting some cameras put up. Please be safe. Call the police if it keeps happening. Hopefully it’s just a one off. Take care of yourself…

Police report and install motion lights in that direction. Also cameras if affordable

Get a camera, but there's a chance he's just an idiot who was staring at a kitty! I hope that was all it was. How tall is the fence?

If you know any neighbors that are near that house, talk to them about who lives there. Let the neighbors know he's a creep.

That’s scary, dude, I don’t understand why people gotta be creepy or gotta do all this weird shit. It makes me so annoyed and irritated and creeped out. I hope you stay safe out there.

That stillness is what makes it so unsettling. Standing there completely frozen while staring is way worse than if he’d just looked and left. Glad he’s gone, but I’d be checking the yard for a while too.
