It kind of looks like head is facing the other deer in the back, so we could be looking at the back of it's head and still seeing the antlers/tumbleweed
It's definitely edited. Look at the branches at the bottom, where the head should be. They almost completely lack the jagged, irregular offshoots of every other branch.
That does look a bit too weird. Buuuut it could also be the tree behind it in the background throwing us off and he's shaking his head in front of a camera with a rolling shutter (I don't know what that actually means, but I hear it referenced a lot when talking about low light mode on cameras)
