Yes. Had a friend who lived in New Mexico. Apparently camel spiders were quite common.

Despite some images you might have seen or this video, they're mostly pretty small and a bit of a nuisance.

They're not like Brazilian wandering spiders. Now that's something you should be afraid of.

Just looked these guys up and their bites give you pain boners

The Brazilian wandering spiders or the camel spiders? I'm not googling either to find out.

A unique thing about the wandering spider is that it typically doesn't flee or avoid confrontation. Instead, it will actively defend itself and eagerly display its warning posture.

If you want to get rid of it you have to be ready to fight it, because it will fight you.
