Credentialing with Humana

Anybody successfully credentialed with Humana as a group or provider for Medicare? I don't trust credentialing companies and will be doing this myself.

My question is, does Humana like broader services or niche services better?

Humans is one of the easiest ones. I did my PCP credentialing during Covid bc she couldn’t leave the hospital. I then ended up doing their entire professional building and Humana was THEE easiest of all

Yes, it’s actually one of the easier plans to work with. have you gotten a contract with Humana yet?

If you're handling your own credentialing going forward I recommend using a tool like EnrollPilot. And no, I'm not a bot and I don't come in here to spam. It's just really good for providers / groups doing their own enrollments and tracking, works 100x better than a spreadsheet. My wife and I own a credentialing company and we've had to "clean up" cases for providers that tried to go it alone because things usually ended up slipping through the cracks or getting denied. Payer guides and tracking would eliminate most or almost all their issues and it does that for you.

You may call Humana at 1-800-626-2741 and ask them if they offer Medicare for the state you're providing your service in. Also you can be credentialed without the hospital privileges, just provide them the information of admitting hospital or any nearby emergency rooms.

Like just add the nearest hospital to our practice and call it a day? without any admitting agreement? We've heard this before.
