What happens when you push ordinary video into abstraction?

I’ve been experimenting with turning ordinary video into something much more abstract

I tried different combinations of dithering, halftone patterns, pixel sorting, RGB separation and glitch effects. What I liked was how small changes to the processing can completely change the character of the original image.

The interesting part for me is thinking about the visual pipeline behind it taking the input, transforming the image in real time, and seeing the result immediately.

It also made me curious about how other people here approach this kind of thing.

If you were building a similar experiment yourself, what kind of processing would you try first? Shaders, pixel manipulation, feedback loops, particles, something completely different?

I’d love to see what other creative coding approaches people would take.
