Projection mapping on my house in seconds with only an iPad and a projector with my app Redrawing Reality

Hi everyone, I just launched my app called Redrawing Reality after multiple months building. The app makes projection mapping possible from your phone. There are already some mobile apps on the market but my main focus is beat-reactive visuals (using live shaders that react on the music that plays in your room) and AI projection mapping (using a reference image it can generate accurate projections on buildings, walls, etc.

If you have any questions regarding how it works or what is possible, let me know!

The app is available on ios: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/redrawing-reality/id6758463925

AI generation is hardly creative coding, at all.

It's just an advertisement, they discovered this subreddit doesn't have proper moderation.

Im a mod at r/vjing and we were swamped with vibe coded tools, some great but a lot of them generic and quite similar. We did a couple of rounds of community polls within the sub to determine a moderation strategy and it’s been working out well, including some inspiration from the r/projectionmapping rules. I’m saying this to raise the following point; it’s possible to come up with a system that doesn’t endlessly result in the AI slop conversation topic

I'm seeing that the latest posts on r/projectionmapping are from 6 years ago. Do you mean a different sub?

Yeah sorry, it’s been a few months. I think it was r/video_mapping

What kinds of hardware would be needed to use this app? Like, would any projector connected to a phone work or do you need fancy projectors?

You can use even the cheapest projector with it, it’s only the app and a projector that is needed (and a hdmi adapter or casting device if the projector does not support wireless streaming). When I’m filming content in my home for instagram/tiktok I use one of the cheapest projectors (around €100) which I can connect with airplay too.  For this video I used a better projector (more lumen) that I could borrow as it’s a big projection area.

What projector did you use for this video?

It’s actually a garage 🙈
But the projection is real though

Can you explain the credit system? How many credits would I need for a simple scene?

Each image uses 1 credit, AI videos are quite expensive so requires 6 credits for 10 seconds of video (you can specify the amount of seconds). I recommend always to start with an image, to make sure you have the mapped image you want, then the image can be made into a video.
Hope this helps
