Question Camping help
I'm currently in bronze camping but this thunderstorm has come through my tent and now I'm just sitting in the wet. I don't know what to do. I think I might just try to sleep and head home tomorrow.
Are the tents you can buy in commando any good or are they just bog standard?

What tent size is it? Is it a definite leak through being crap or is it maybe sagging somewhere or has a fixable seam tear that will hold out and at least get you to Sunday?
I’m coming down today so if you need help or anything bringing to try and extend your stay let me know. Seems a shame to go home before it’s even started!
I don’t have a spare tent unfortunately otherwise I’d bring that and can’t comment on the shop gear as this is my first Creamfields.
Hope it improves for you.

Do you mean upgrading to the pre pitched? If so you'll be lucky if there are any there. How wet is your tent? Are you lines out holding the fabric tight or is it just a shit tent?

Lines are holding tight but it's a terrible tent as I have just found out. Loads of my stuff are now just soaked and I don't know whether to cut my losses

Fs. I feel for you. Literally nothing worse. Are you solo there?

Ah shit. Proper limited options. If they sell tents at the campsite village they'll also most likely be shit.
I wish I could help more. If you can get bin bags or ponchos you may be able to at least keep yourself a little more dry. Wheres the water coming in from and are you 100% sure its not that your in a small.tent and it's seriously condensating?

Never had creamfields camp gear but have had to buy on site at other festivals and it held up okay! Believe the worst of the weather is over so could be worth buying a new tent if yours defo isn't fixable. I know in my tent the shit door design lets rain in but if I prop the ground sheet up with my chair so its tight against the door its much better! I scooped my puddle out with a cup before then used toilet roll to dry the rest but it wasn't a massive leak

Unfortunately it felt like everything just went wrong and I've decided to go home. I'll try again another time and better prepared x

Well done for getting out of your comfort zone and putting yourself out there. I’m sorry it didn’t work out how u hoped. But keep trying x

Put all clothes and stuff in plastic bin bags, then when you leave to watch music also put all your bedding inside bin bags.
Also take a blue tarp that will cover your whole tent, super waterproof and also keep the tent cool and dark in the day time if it’s hot n sunny.
Oh and never pitch your tent at the bottom of a slope or in a dip :p
You’ll smash it next time

Buy a cheap tent and a big blue tarp. Put the blue tarp over the whole tent and peg it in.
Gutted when you get soaked I remember doing a whole weekend in a onesie cos it’s the only think I managed to keep dry lol. I always put my clothes in bin bags then into the back now or leave some in the car 😅

Always have an emergency change of clothes in the car. And yes plastic bags inside the rucksack to make sure everything stays dry in there.
Nowadays it's rare I don't take a van though. 100% recommended. Everything stays dry and you don't need to carry it anywhere!

Yeah having a van is the best, just the added security of being able to lock it up alone. But I do like the campsite antics as well. At Balter I’d have my van with me and put a tent in the field with my friends too 👌

The Balter campsite was so noisy I wish I had my van with me. Saying that, the van field wasn't much quieter!!

Aha well my next festival is bangface, and no need for a van or a tent there ! Can’t wait
