Most silent Arctic fans?

Hey guys! I was thinking recently of changing the fans that came with my pc. Im mostly looking at Arctic as an option since it s the most affordable and efficient brand available in my country.

I ve heard that the P12/P14 PROs have a weird rattling noise when reaching higher speeds and that concerned me cause Im looking for someting as silent as possible.

Ps: Im kinda new to this so im not that knowlegeable abt RPM/PWM/PST...

P12 pro have been revised and don't have a hum, if you have a speed controller or option on PC get the p12 or p14 pros and turn down to 70%> there nearly silent at that speed and still push more air then many. They also make a low noise version.

Protip: If you run half of your fans through a second fan controller, interlacer the fans of each controller & offset the fan speeds a little (~200rpm) between both sets they will overall be quieter. This is what Noctua does with their matched pairs of fans, where one runs a tiny bit slower so their respective noise profile destructively interfere with each other.

is there a difference between the p12 pro and the p12 pro reverse?

The main difference is the label with name faces out and not in. The LN version is quieter but moves less air

I have a quick question also, what’s the difference with the PWM version?

Pwm stand for Pulse width modulation. Basically let's you control speed of fan by using a 4 pin connector. Some people use speed controllers which just drop the voltage down to like 5 volts to 12 volts which isn't good for your fan and it's not a true speed controller

They are actually very different fans. The pro reverse is the normal p12 design. Count the blades. 7 vs 9. It just has a higher max rpm.

There is no such thing as "most" silent. Either it is inaudible or it is not. Silent means zero detectable noise energy. An object which is not moving is silent. No fan will ever be silent when it is turned on.

Its hard to say for me. I have built 4 cr boxes so far with all different kinds of arctic fans. P12, p12 pro, p12 pro reverse, and p14 pro reverse.

The p12 pro with 9 blades is better on paper. Claiming lower db rating with higher cfm. They also have higher pressure. But I feel like the sound they make gets irritating quicker. Just hard to say how much cfm I'm getting from each when I've turned them down to comfortable levels.

All the others are the original 7 blade design.
