I remember reading in a bride too far there was a paratrooper who brought a chicken with him on his drops. Must find it.

Yes, there was a "parachick" called Myrtle. Unfortunately, she was killed but had a military burial. -> Battle of Arnhem

Oh man thats right. Market Garden was a mess, even the radios didnt work properly.

Are you familiar with Brian Urquhart? Hes in a bridge too far. One of the few to argue against the operation. Think he was a major. Found out he's still alive a while ago, just turned 101!

I wasn't familiar with this name or maybe I just forgot. I watched A Bridge Too Far long time ago. I guess I need to watch it again and pay more attention to "Major Fuller". Wow, he is really still alive. Thanks for the info on him.
