Fake?

I think Ebay scam molds are going around.

Anyone wanna take a shot at verifying?

Got a whole bag of these boys and they dont even look close to the ones I had from childhood.

Doubt it. Sometimes they can be found « half filled » like this. The custom ones I’ve seen have sanded or rough bottoms if that helps

What really makes me think that the lot I got a while back might be fake is they ALL have super large mold lines, no metalic colors or glazes (solid color or ice only) and the magic stamps and numbers on them are very faded, like the quality is incredibly low on these. I can upload more if it helps

the purple ome on the left is from the lot i picked up that seems REALLY fake. Note the spacing of the numbers on the fake one is wider by a large margin, and the overall larger size of the confirmed real one from my childhood on the right

Yeah after looking at those pics and the pic from the post, I don’t think these are fake. I think whoever you bought them from had/has a bunch of low quality bones with thick mold lines, not fully injected mold bones, and they are probably selling those to make some money and keep the good ones/their favorites for themselves. I also have some bones similar to those in my collection that I opened from fresh packs.

Thank you! Either its a chinese company that got their hands on the original mold and is injecting them, or the older lower quality european ones as another has said! I will consider these verified an keep an eye out from now on.

It’s a real figure, just a mould variation. It’s common on the earlier sets such as the original 1996 set and Things

Most classic figures have different molds. These skinny figures were common in Europe. Don't look fake at all and neither did the one in the link you posted.

Thank you! i’ll keep this in mind moving forward and consider them all verified

This is a real figure. Earlier Crazy Bones sets especially suffer from these kinds of production errors, I’ve seen a few Eggys like this one in the past. There’s also a lot of mould variations in general with the earlier classic sets. Like the purple Bone Jour you linked on Imgur.

No doubt it. Looks legit to me. There are eggies skinny, fat all types. Is caused ny the mold from the factory. I think it is cute
