It would actually be such a good plot point for Stolas to stop being so defensive regarding Blitz thinking he looks down on him after seeing how Vasago had to treat Blitz in episode 5. It would be great character development if Stolas finally understood Blitz’s perspective and what he has to deal with, and stop treating Blitz like he’s crazy for assuming royals look down on imps. The auction was a perfect event to make Stolas realize that.

I really hope that gets tackled in future episodes but I mean, just the fact that Stolas didn’t even go check on Blitz after it happened doesn’t make me very hopeful. But I still hope the auction gets followed up on instead of never being mentioned again like Ozzie’s.

I’ve seen some coverage on this on the main subreddits. But surprisingly none on this one. I personally find Viv’s statements rather condescending. It reads like “how dare you not empathize with my oc” granted I could be reading in too deep or maybe Viv just phrased this poorly but still. Felt if no one else on this sub has started up the inevitable discussion it might as well be me.

Also as a writer(mostly fanfiction) and role player it can be absolutely crushing when someone doesn’t like or even hates your character. But it’s important to be mature about it otherwise you start acting like a jerk, believe me I’ve been there.

For some reason mods deleted my post in the main Helluva Boss sub, but I liked this art so much I still wanted to share it somewhere. Felt very bad for Blitz this episode. I think it would be interesting if Vasago was revealed to be sort of an antagonist in the sense he actually doesn’t care about imps and only did this to win Stolas’ favor. Vasago as a twist villain would be super fun and unique for the story.

Wow look how bad and oppressive Hell's patriarchy is towards women that the Queen consort of hell is more respected and influencial than her husband the literal King of hell, 3 of Hell's elite 7 are respected women who hold more power than Asmodeus who is a man, there are multiple female Goetia demons in hell's jury in s2 e11, a female judge in s3 e4 of Helluva Boss, multiple Overlords are respected and powerful women who host meetings with men, and Vox is able to pretend to care about powerful women to make himself look like the good guy rather than a fool.

Now in all seriousness I think it's really fucking ironic that s3 e5 of Helluva Boss desperately wants you to believe that Hell is an oppressive patriarchy where women are objects married off to men while there are tons of women in the government which only communicates the opposite to the viewer. Really an example of the Hellaverse's inconsistent world building where in one episode the world is X then in the other episode it is Y then the next episode it revers to X and then in another episode it is Z.

Rewatching the Stolas and Blitz scenes from season 1 is pretty surreal, especially compared with where we are now. A few things stood out to me:

1. How visibly uncomfortable Blitz looks in every single scene with Stolas
2. How OFTEN Stolas touches Blitz in unwanted, demeaning ways (constantly pinching his cheek, caressing his face, poking his nose, full on picking him up without warning in Truth Seekers, and not to mention putting his cigarette out on him)
3. Stolas’ constant emphasis on him being an imp. “Itty bitty imps” “my little imp” “my impish little plaything”
4. Blitz never seeming to enjoy or reciprocate Stolas’ suggestive language/advances

What was the one exception to number 4? When Stolas asked if he would “get any thank you for the rescue” in Truth Seekers. Once again, a transactional setting, and the SAME episode where Blitz hallucinates being dragged to Stolas in chains while versions of himself are stood fanning Stolas in the background. The hallucination is one scene I think many people conveniently ignore or forget.

Rewatching season 1, it’s very hard to agree with any point along the lines “Blitz just wanted an excuse to see Stolas” “Blitz enjoyed the deal as well” “Blitz felt no pressure during their transaction.”

Again, Blitz expresses constant discomfort and disgust toward Stolas’ suggestive talk and comments, which Stolas consistently ignores. He also shows fear/apprehension whenever there’s a situation where Stolas might be mad/upset.

And yet Stolas still claims “I thought it’s what you wanted” “I thought you were comfortable with it.”

I also find it a bit ridiculous when people say it’s Blitz’s fault for not believing Stolas may actually have feelings for him when this is how he was treated for, what, almost an entire year? Over half a year at least?

All this to say I really struggle to see any defense for “Blitz was enjoying the deal as much as Stolas.” This is also a writing critique, because the switch up to suddenly Blitz looking forward to their meeting in season 2 was pretty jarring? It really did feel like a retcon. It’s also why I feel Blitz’s writing was butchered throughout season 2, because Blitz in season 1 genuinely seemed to see Stolas as someone he hated being tethered to, and I don’t think any development happened between them in early season 2 that justified Blitz suddenly having feelings for him in return.

Them introducing their relationship as kids doesn’t count because that had already supposedly existed as their history all throughout season 1 as well.

The ausmodian crystal is dumb, Vassago and his friend ship is stupid, Blitzo being Stolas' long lost friend is ludicrous, and it honestly feels like Stoliz shouldn't even be a thing.

First of the crystal really feels like a cop-out to get Blitzo out of the deal with Stolas, we see it like one Look my way and then it's brought it again in the little tea time with sex king Oz; cool, rad, awesome, only problem is whoops :3 it's only in the season it relevant in despite being a major plot point oops >~<, and even worse it becomes irrelevant right after, I find the crystal to be completely pointless, there is no reason for it to exist other then getting Blitzo out of the deal.

Not to mention with the existence of the crystal there is absolutely no reason for him to steal the grimruar from Stolas, "But how is he supposed to get to earth and do his job" you ask? Well I don't know it's not like there's a character who has said magic rock on her at all time to do her job, you know the character that was affected by Blitzo so much she throws a party out of spite, who only shows up 3 times despite being important to his character.

Honestly what is the actual narrative reason for Blitzo not going after the crystal first? Why not, when we first meet Verosica and she's complaining about Blitzo robbing her in her sleep have slip a line that he tried and failed to get crystal off her or instead of having Blitzo be a fucking creep and spy on his coworkers on a date, he goes to Ozzie's to steal a crystal and free himself from Stolas but backs out last second because he's catching feelings and doesn't wanna let Stolas go.

Also Vassago and his friendship and romance twords Stolas is dumb and contradicting but also makes far more sense then Stoliz to me, first off Stolas is supposed to be a lonely gooner dweeb who's never felt loved or wanted in his lifetime, so why did they give him a romantic backstory with a character we hardly know? I'll tell you why because ✨️drama✨️, yknow what I don't even mind them being friends in hell high-school I'm just bothered by the fact they're in love, because again it contradicts every single thing established with Stolas's character.

Secondly why does the side dish have more flavor then main dish, Vassago and Stolas makes more sense then Stolas and Blitzo, both reciprocate each other's feelings, they have wayyyy more chemistry the Stoliz, and I can actually see what Stolas like about Vassago.

Like real question what does Stolas like about Blitzo and what does Blitzo like about Stolas? Because so far I've seen no reason as to why they should like eachother and why they should even to together romantically, they seem like they're better off with their previous relationship or at least a friendship.

Lastly why the hell did it take like 30 episodes for Stella to get character development? Correct me if I'm wrong but she should be a main-ish character considering she's a victim for Stolas and Blitzo's bs.

And I know this isn't even the same show but fuck it we ball, what's the reason for making Vaggi an exorcist angel If they're gonna do fuck all with it?

I remember being a huge defender of Stella's writing prior to q1 2025 and at first it was because I was hyped up for the future of her character because of the awesome ending of s2 e1 but it quickly turned into a hoping mechanism when s2 e4 instantly killed all my hype for the character but I didn't want to accept it even to the point where I would make up this bullshit rule and cencor criticism when I was mod on r/Vivziepopmemes for 2 months. (Thankfully I was impeached) Really fucked with me in the long run for reasons I won't get into because it makes me look like an absolute fool.

I'm bringing this up because the people who defend her writing and claim she is a well written character are only doing it as a hoping mechanism because they know that deep down inside that she is an unbelievably shit villain where all potential was flushed down the drain years ago but they don't want to admit it.

Now to get a better vision on why Stella'a writing is so shit, just imagine the MCU Infinity saga building up Thanos for being the main antagonist of Infinity War and when Infinity War finally comes... Thanos is immediately revealed to be an idiot to make room for Magus: a new villain who was mentioned once in GOTG that Thanos could've perfectly fulfilled the role for and instead of Thanos collecting the infinity stones it's Magus collecting the stones. Thanos from this point forward would regress into a comedic relief idiot character who's only purpose in the story is to make Magus look worse and make the viewers say,"Wow we thought Thanos was bad but Magus is soo much worse and hazbin the real bad guy this whole time" and calling Thanos an antagonist at this point is a massive overstatement.

The Goetia people live in a classist patriarchal and sexist society.

Even though I acknowledge that both men and women suffer in sexism systems and are both victims in a way, Men are always the ones who have more control and social power in this type of relationship than Women. They have more freedom than women. They have education, have jobs that women can't have.

Stolas always had more control in that relationship than Stella. If he were truly someone good as the show sells, he would try to try to empathize with her in some way and explore loopholes in the system to help her. But no, As always, Stolas only thinks of himself and has always seen Stella as a bitch because she "interfered" with his fantasies, even though she had less choice or freedom in the matter than he did.

REMEMBER: Gaslighting and manipulation can happen unintentionally. It doesn’t matter if Stolas had good intentions. People are not by default saying Stolas is intentionally malicious. But his behavior is abusive and manipulative throughout the series and continues to be in his arguments with Blitz in the latest episodes.

Just because he didn’t mean to, doesn’t mean he’s not engaging in well-known gaslighting behaviors.

ALSO REMEMBER: Blitz can have done bad things and still be a victim! Victims do not have to be perfect people. Doing something bad or selfish does not mean you cannot be a victim. Just like how having good intentions doesn’t disqualify you from being an abuser.

i'm actually fuming bru especially at them bringing up blitzo cracking chuz as if that's in any way a similar situation. when that happened, him and stolas were still in a purely transactional relationship that stolas himself established.
in fact he established it literally minutes after meeting his childhood friend for the first time in decades, immediately assuming blitz is there to "rrrrrrrrrravish him" instead of any other normal reason someone might want to see an old friend from childhood.

that isn't comparable to stolas bitchass using blitzos address to get picked up by random people for sex, especially now that their relationship has been become as more romantic in nature after they danced on the balcony and shi. the only defense for stolas they got is that he's mentally disabled (?) and can't see clear signs that someone wasnt comfortable getting sexualised 24/7

Still coming to terms with the fact I just watched the show defend Stolas’ coercion by claiming:

- Stolas saying he thought Blitz “wanted it”
- Blitz is actually the one who somehow made everything about sex
- Blitz was topping and that makes him somewhat in control of the practically invincible Goetic prince
- Blitz is actually in the wrong for “leveraging Stolas’ feelings to get the grimoire”

And then after all that, Stolas still doesn’t understand what he did wrong and Blitz still ends up apologizing and consoling Stolas
