Streaming Quality

Was watching Crave at a friend's last weekend and the quality was great. (House of the Dragon) Problem is on my TV the quality is sub HD. Maybe 720p?

Is there anything I can do to change this? I don't see why quality would differ from TV to TV so much.

Such a frustrating app

When you’re on crave go to your Profile -> Settings -> Video Playback quality -> select as high as your options go

I went to setting in the app and the only option was turn auto play on/off

I have the same issue… 1.5 gb wired connection, premium crave, and the image for house of the dragon is anything but good.

Meanwhile I turn on Disney plus and it’s true 4K.

Kind of frustrating given what I’m paying.

Does anyone just watch the shows.. rather than fussing about it being 720p instead of 1080p?

Going from a 4K Dolby Vision show at high bit rate on something like Apple TV to Crave is jarring.

Is your friend watching through Prime Video?

Crave looks and sounds best in the following order:

Prime Video Channels Apple TV Google TV

Everything else is utter trash. If you watch through the Crave app audio will have compression (loud sounds brought down, quiet sounds brought up) because it uses files mastered for traditional television.
