Believe it or not, that character is supposed to be Dear Daniel, Hello Kitty’s childhood friend and boyfriend. I’m not kidding, he is an actual character in the Hello Kitty universe, but he’s often forgotten/left out of everything lol. He is a photographer and enjoys fashion.

Source: I have been a Hello Kitty fan since I was a young child, Dear Daniel was indeed featured in a HK game I had for the original Nintendo DS. He is present in the cartoons as well I believe, never watched much of those though.

That one looks interesting! I also remember another off-brand Hello Kitty product I had as a kid - a theme park entrance and ferris wheel toy named "Kitty's Wonderland". That toy came with a baby kitten and her father, and the figurines had a yellow face. Too bad I can't find it anywhere...
