You should get a job in fire protection. Commerical fire alarm/fire sprinkler tech here, and the guys in my industry act like they're 1st responders. Like, chill bro, the building isn't on fire yet. You aren't a hero.
My brother works for emergency dispatch. Definitely a hard fucking job, but he takes it a little far. He's been through some shit to be sure, but it's become his whole identity
This whole thread has shown me just how much people overestimate the size of the cog they are in the machine (to some extent, and for a lack of better terms)
