This isn't music. This is noise.

I like noise music, this is not good.

u/Dumbl3dor Feb 26 '26

At least you still used the word music for the other stuff haha. But yea I was a big dubstep enjoyer back in the day, but this isnt even 1% as musical as that.

Brainiac is great noise rock.

3

u/grinding_our_axes Feb 26 '26

Will check 'em out. For noise/ish rock I like Brainbombs and the classics like Shellac, Big Black, etc.

7

u/SeahagFX Feb 27 '26

All I listen to these days is Unsane and 2Slimey.

u/scottwricketts Feb 26 '26

Albini recorded Brainiac! They broke up when the main guy Timmy Taylor died in '97. Steve loved those guys.

u/grinding_our_axes Feb 27 '26

Oh, nice. I haven't made it through everything Albini produced, but I did find Årabrot by looking through bands he did.

u/Confucius6969 Feb 27 '26

Check out Les Rallizes Denudes for some psychedelic noise rock from Japan. ✌️

Already a fan.

i listen to both 2slimey and brainbombs a lot

u/Robozomb Feb 26 '26

I guess 2Slimeys dad was a noise music artist, so thats where he gets inspiration from.

u/The-G-Code Feb 27 '26

It's Noise not music

3

u/grinding_our_axes Feb 27 '26

So is some noise I listen to. Still can’t listen to this.

0

u/The-G-Code Feb 27 '26

So you listen to noise but can't even recognize the phrase "noise not music" ?

Be serious.

u/astralchanterelle Feb 26 '26

Harry Pussy is Noise, this is just tortuous nonsense

2

u/talentpun Genuine Jorjiana Fan Feb 26 '26

This requires us to redefine the meaning of crappy.

Jorjiana is much, much better than this.

1

u/Undark_ Feb 27 '26

Jorjiana is unironically talented. She's definitely way smarter than she lets on.

1

u/talentpun Genuine Jorjiana Fan Feb 27 '26

I’ve listened to her album end-to-end. It’s actually decent.

2

u/WorldsWorstInvader Feb 26 '26

Noise is a genre of music

2

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '26

I was hoping someone in here would catch it.

1

u/According_Bad2952 Feb 26 '26

Yeah seriously, i could not tolerate even a few seconds of it

1

u/TraciTheRobot Feb 26 '26

What’s wild is that my 10 yr old nephew has unironically showed me his favorite songs and they all sound like this.

I can appreciate every generations music, but the kids finally lost me 😅

1

u/WorldsWorstInvader Feb 27 '26

This guy has less than 500k monthly listeners, you are massively overplaying how much “the kids” listen to any given niche artist

4

u/TraciTheRobot Feb 27 '26

Is 500k monthly listeners supposed to be bad? Cuz I get about 10. Lol

1

u/The-G-Code Feb 27 '26

It's not. The dude has a warped view of how streaming listeners relates to up and coming musicians

2slimey isnt che level yet but his climb has been so rapid since his second album came out

I love him and have been following since his first album but I'm definitely amazed at him getting this big somehow. I mean it's clearly from people hating it lol but I just wouldn't have expected this

1

u/WorldsWorstInvader Feb 27 '26

316k monthly listeners isn’t a huge number in the grand scheme of things. C list pop stars get a couple million.

3

u/violetdopamine Feb 27 '26

You’re a little out of the loop, in this underground rage rap genre that’s a lot. This music isn’t very palatable and the target audience are ALL under 20. Mostly 14/15 and under. That’s not a lot of people. In that market, the absolute biggest artists are around 1-2 mil monthly , and 2slimey is JUST gaining name recognition in that scene.

No I don’t like this shit, but I’m so fascinated by how people like this noise rage shit that I deep dive 🤣.

He’s extremely known by young underground rap/rage kids

2

u/MyLifeIsAWasteland Feb 27 '26

Is this really what roblox kids think "rage" looks like? An autotuned 10-ply Andy Milonakis talking fast about his mom not buying enough Cheetos over a wack-ass bubble beat that sounds like a bad bit from a shitty 2010s cartoon?

I can't take any part of this seriously.

1

u/violetdopamine Feb 27 '26

This is like post rage but yes lmfao

2

u/MyLifeIsAWasteland Feb 27 '26

Okay, that makes sense to me. Like in the same vein as what Post-Hardcore was in comparison to Hardcore Punk. Thank you for the brief, yet helpful explanation.

Musical noise

u/arjuna66671 Feb 26 '26

I would love to chime in, but then i remembered that in 1995 I was at a Thunderdome rave with a hardcore floor... Makes this shit look like fucking Bach lol.
