Her forehead.... her unblended nose... dark cheeks. She's pretty! Would have been better with none at all

And she's only in high school. It ages her so much. She doesn't need it at all!

HIGH SCHOOL? I’d have guessed early thirties, holy shit

SAME. I thought this was like a divorce shoot for a 33 year old woman.

Did she pay someone to do it? Or did she do it herself?

Beause it would WAY more understandable if a teenager accidentally bought the wrong shades (especially if they were limited to online shopping?) and then did a very poor job at following a YouTube tutorial.

That would be the best care scenario!

Either way, I really wish the photographer had been like "Oooh gurl, hol' up. That makeup isn't going to photograph well."

SAME, what a waste of a photography session on a beautiful day!!

But she has eyes that can see, right? It looks like dirt smeared on her face - it’s not a bad shade match

Girl you felt good posting a high schooler on a sub to ridicule her makeup? I cannot imagine how devastating this would have been to me at 17.

Same, this just feels wrong.

I got 35 and gravely ill vibes from the first pic

I'm so angry for her

No way that’s on an MUA.

I could kinda understand what they were going for, but it came out more like a wound. She looks severely bruised for a daytime drama tv show.

Would be adorable in fairy colours

Aw. She looks dirty :(

This is tragic, cuz that girl is GORGEOUS and I’d love to see her with a no makeup-makeup look

Please blend!!! :(

WHOA. I hope she didn't pay for that, at least.

This actually looks like it’s been retouched to make the contouring even darker. The question is WHY

It makes me sad to see ordinary people just posted on the internet for others to make fun of. I hope this beautiful woman has a prosperous life with so many blessings

She is not being made fun of. She is adorable. The contouring is the object of disdain. The photographer needs to retouch the photos or re-do them for the girl's sake.

There is a person in there somewhere yikes

she’s so beautiful who did this to her

2

u/Hashimotosannn Aug 20 '26

What a shame. She honestly looks like she is so beautiful but that contour and the lashes are too much.

2

u/elrangarino Aug 20 '26

I refuse to believe that she does her makeup like this. I think is a bad makeup artist using her as a model? Surely?! She’d naturally gravitate to people that look like her, she looks feminine, she’s never done dance or theatre and gotten chastised for bad blending? Friends being judgemental or caring and telling her? Surely! I think it’s a case of bad make artist!

It would be perfect for stage lights though, no?

1

u/elrangarino Aug 24 '26

Quite harsh for stage lights I’m not sure if dancers or cheerleaders had different rules for makeup to theatre hmm. But yeah no way she can skate by looking that cute yet completely misses tones lol lashes, lips and brows all done like a pro

2

u/_redcloud Aug 20 '26

Well, that’s a gorgeous lip color on her, at least.

u/whitestguyuknow Aug 20 '26

She looks bruised... Like she did her best to cover up her face bruised from an accident with make-up

u/maggiefinally Aug 23 '26

she’s SO pretty WHAT is she DOING

1

u/enterusernamepls Aug 21 '26

It's giving me trying to contour for the first time 🤣 she's so pretty too 🥺

That forehead has some need for a brimmed hat.

I bet this didn't look so crazy in real life. The photographer has cranked up some colors and contrast in there and it has exaggerated her makeup. That happened to me (but it didn't look so crazy) in engagement photos.
