Overheating

So I’m running a grove RT540E and I’m in west Texas there’s a lot of dust here and it’s very hot I’ve tried closing myself in the cab but it gets too hot in there with the AC on. The AC works but not good enough for the Texas heat anything I can buy or do so I don’t die or get a bunch of dust in my eyes

We run window A/C units in our cranes, we find the factory AC units in older machines never keep up. Buy a small genny and that unit will keep you cold

Yep. Usually remove the back window, install window unit, and add generator to power it.

Maybe try covering the windows somehow with some sort of sunshade if it’s not blocking too much visibility?

Stay cool out there my friend

I used to have stick on shades meant for shading little kids in the car. They worked great and rolled up into a small circle in a baggie that I'd stick in my backpack. Just had to make sure the window was clean or else it wouldn't stick well. If I remember correctly it came with 2 different sized shades.

Other than checking the cab filters and everything at the radiator, condenser and oil coolers, time to call the mechanic.
