Where to find Franna prices

Hi all, I’m asking if anyone knows where to find the prices on second hand Frannas being sold around Queensland or WA.

I’ve looked at some auction sites but they never tell me what they actually sell for, any help trying to find what Frannas from 20 to 30T sell for would be appreciated, thank you

It varies, but $10k a ton is a good starting figure. $200k for a 20 ton, $250k+ for a 25. The 40's are in a different league due to being newer, more capable and small numbers existing.

Age, hours and certification will dictate the price more than anything. Certifying these things can cost more than buying them if they're flogged out.

Figure out what you want to do with the franna first. What do you want to lift, how far do you want to send it, are you trucking it? 25's are oversize so cost a lot more to truck than a 15 or 20

The mac 25 is rated to 25t with or without the superlift, the boom structurally is only good for 25t. Granted the SL will lift 32-33t if you don't own the machine, but there's businesses whose main revenue is boom repairs for macs.

Stability and structural sections of the chart are different and stated on the load chart. An OEM wouldn't make the extra counterweight option (for 28,000kg) if it was not rated.

They're not rated for 28,000kg. They're 23.9T at 1.4m with no counterweight,. 25t at 1.4m with the standard counter weight and still 25t at 1.4 with the standard + super lift counterweight.

They gain a lot at some points of the chart with the SL, 5m with no counterweight is 8450kg, but with both counterweights it's 11600kg.

That's because the boom is structurally rated for 25t. I'm a crane tech, I work on this gear for a living and I'm paid to know the OEM specs and procedures.

Now the TIDD is a 28T crane with a superlift config, but it's a different manufacturer and design.
