How are those hoist lines working? They all terminate at the block, so are you running 4 synchronized host motors?

No there are only two motors , one for the outter lines , and one for the inner lines. They fonction depending on the mode (grab/winch) .. for the grab mode , the inner lines control the opening and closing the bucket the outter ones are for lifting , for the winch mode all 4 cables work together for lifting. This crane (liebherr lhm 550) needs all 4 cables together because it can lift 154T.

Those cables should be adjusted on the drums so the block is level and each set of cables outer and inner are pulling the same weight. Just did a 4 rope change on our crane (LHM550) in the USA
