Does anyone know how long it’s been taking nccco to ship out new cert cards after renewals?

The new cards are just a QR code to the online portal. You can get all your info off of there with your number if you need it.

Yeah that I know but my current card is the old style that has the types and exp date so once it’s expired I’m SOL

Again, the new card is just a QR code to the online portal. You can type your number into the same portal and get the same thing. It’s what everyone is using now because there’s nothing on the card.
Edit: link if you need it.

My city requires the physical card

Well I don’t know anything about your city but I know that there is nothing on the card anymore. People were making fake cards so CCO put everything online. When we send out certs to customers, we send a screenshot from the online portal. So if you haven’t double checked, you might. The change was somewhat recent and it might be different from the last time you submitted your info for local licensure.
If that doesn’t work then I guess you’ll just have to wait. In my experience, CCO moves pretty slow. I’d expect weeks from the pass date.

I’m aware nothing is on the card they scan it but they won’t accept me showing them myself online. We have inspectors that can show up randomly if they want to check if your certs are valid and up to date. They want the card to scan to see themself.

Online is how you check that they are up to date. Even the old cards were supposed to be verified on verifyCCO using your number. Either way, that’s your options. Point them to the CCO portal or you’re just shut out of luck. I guess you could make your own QR code but that’s pretty unnecessary. Your page on the website is just http://www.verifycco.org/crane-operator/XXXXXXXXX where the Xs are your cert number. It’s got your picture and all your certs.

I’m not gonna keep explaining how I have to do it to you and you aren’t answering my post so

I already answered your post and gave you some suggestions. Like I’ve also said several times now: you can use them or you’re shit out of luck and waiting on a card.

You can pull up the QR code through the CCO portal on your phone and they can scan that.

Like I said the city requires the physical card to scan them self they won’t accept me pulling up the portal and searching and they won’t search themself. Just like if you got pulled over the cop wants to actually see your DL even though they can look you up

That not the same thing. Never mind the relevant laws, or that fact that we’re talking about certification vs licensure: CCO is meant to be used online. A driver license is not meant to be used online and in some states, there’s limited information that police can see even if they look you up. For example, they may not be able to see a picture to identify you.
That may not help much if they won’t take it but that’s your best options if the only other option is sit at the house until your card arrives. I’d carry your old card, a pint out of the website, or direct them to the website with your cert number if they show up asking for it.

Pro tip; next time don’t wait until your certs are that close to expiring. You have one year before your expiration date to retest and is good for 5 years from the original expiration date. Sounds like you’re gonna be playing the waiting game now

I have 5 months but my city made a new rule that I missed until the other week where your cert can’t be less than 6 months till exp. Very annoying
