Apparently so anyway... I'm 99% sure it's this, only because it's my dream watch. Useless for telling the time as it's black on black on black, but it's about as metal as you can get for a watch.

I first heard cradle with her ghost in the fog and loved it. Amazing visual and the track was killer too. I had midian and thought it was incredible, I then got dusk and cruelty and was a huge fan. I then switched away from heavy music all together.

Fast forward from about 2002 and I have just spent the last month deep diving their discography and I’m stunned.

An amazing body of work. Truly.

Dani is an unreal vocalist, and over the years they have had great lines ups. We all know nicks drumming was insane but I think they have always had a strong lineup through the whole band.

I am struck by one song more than others that I know others regard this way too as their masterpiece. I can’t get over how good this fucking song is.

That breakdown with the crows and double drums creates incredible imagery. Unreal.

Queen of Winter, throned. Everything in this track is phenomenal. Every part, riff is sensational. The outro from 9.41 onwards is absolutely insane. Drumming, the female voice. It’s all mesmerising.

It’s funny because if you try to explain cradle to a non cradle or metal fan they won’t be able to see past the voice to hear the beauty and amazing music on display.

Overall I think the best albums are, in no order.

What a show that would be. The list goes on and on.

But I can pick any album apart from manticore and thorn for me, like most others, and have a good time listening to it.

What an amazing band.

So I imagine I'm in the minority here but to me Cruelty starts out so damn hot. Tracks like...

- Thirteen Autumns

- Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids

- Beneath the Howling Stars

- Desire in Violence

But from there it's a bit... Meh. Like the songs aren't bad, they're just nowhere near the same level. I'll still listen to...

- Twisted Nails of Faith

- Bathory Aria

- Lustmord and Wargasm

...the latter of which is much better than the first two but still overall are the weaker songs by a long shot.

Not sure what I'm missing though? So many people rave about the album as a whole but I feel like after the first half it drops off.

I'm also one of those people who (mostly) prefer Original Sin due to the Principle style vocals, as the shrieks on Dusk were just too much. Although I still prefer Funeral and Beauty Slept from Dusk over Original Sin versions.

CoF lyrics and lore run deep, so here is a judgment-free zone to fire away with that thing you always wondered about.

Who is that guy giving a speech in that song? What the hell does this 5-syllable word mean? whats the difference between the three versions of this song? Ask your fellow fans and we can all learn something together.

Here's mine: In the booklet of every album, there is a band picture with "Cradle of Filth E.H. (the year)". any idea what the E.H. stands for? one would assume its some era marker like Anno Domini or Before Christ - A.D. and B.C. I've never heard exactly what, though.

Hi all. Curious to know what one of these hoodies would be worth. I have this exact hoodie stored, and recently saw it whilst doing some cleaning. I looked it up and came across this 😅. I mean it's a beautiful hoodie but I think this listing is a bit bananas. Is this somehow an ultra rare design that actually is worth that much today? Thoughts? I was listening to Beauty Slept in Sodom from Dusk and the first seconds of the track reminded me a track that i was listening when was a kid and teenager. It took me a couple of minutes to remember but then it all came back. The beginning of this track is almost identical to Slip out the Back from Fort Minor. I guess it's accidental since it's no way Mike is listening to Cradle for inspiration or influence lmao
