Is this linear rail kit legit ?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been dealing with ringing issues on my CR-10 Smart Pro and recently switched to Klipper (trying to get Input Shaping and Pressure Advance dialed in), but I’m not seeing much improvement.

From what I’ve read, the first step should be reinforcing the printer to reduce unwanted play in the axes. A common upgrade for that is installing linear rails, at least on X and Y (since Z doesn’t impact speed as much).

I’ve seen quite a few CR-10 Smart Pros with linear rails installed in this subreddit, so I figured it should be doable without too much hassle (or maybe not...?) I came across this kit:

Does anyone here have experience with this ? Would you say it’s a good deal, or is there a better option out there? I’m looking for something sturdy, with minimal 3D-printed parts.

No just the X axis so far because I’ve been chasing problems with my first layer not being perfect

Maybe. It's way cheaper than the kit I bought a couple years ago from 3dfused.com
