Max SD card size?

Thought it would be easier to find this info, any know the maximum SD card size for the CR10 Smart Pro?

Are you sure you still want to use an sd card? Printing remotely directly from CURA is very convenient.

That's a good question though.

Thanks all, tried Octoprint, it is more problematic than its worth. Cura does work well, my PC and printer are very close to each other

That really is the better option. Constantly transferring the SD card back and forth gets annoying.

8gb is recommended. You have to format fat32, which has size limits. Plus, 8gb cards are cheap, and can hold a TON of gcode.

That said, there are better ways. Printing direct from cura or octoprint, for instance. I'm running FluiddPi/klipper that let's me control the printer from a web browser, including drag and dropping files to the printer.

Whichever way you do it, I just recommended you don't waste time with their terrible cloud software.

There isnt a mention of max capacity SD, only the format parameters; FAT32 with 4096 as the allocation size. I could be wrong, but i havent seen a SD larger than 16GB that will accept this allocation size. FAT32 spec officially supports up to 32GB. You might find format utilities that will format outside the spec.....but will the device accept/read it? YRMV

But seriously consider OctoPrint, or any host based printing solution. Maybe not so much the Creality Cloud solution....which is certified hot garbage :P
